GSI flagship center nominated for 2024 World Summit on the Information Society Prize

In March 2024, GSI's flagship surgical care center in Uganda, the Kyabirwa Surgical Center (KSC), was nominated for the International Telecommunication’s Union 2024 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) prize.

GSI's flagship surgical care center in Uganda, the Kyabirwa Surgical Center (KSC), was nominated for the International Telecommunication’s Union 2024 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) under the category Action Line C7: ICT applications; benefits in all aspects of life - E-health. 

KSC emerged as one of the 360 digital projects nominated among 1049 submitted globally and received 1,000 votes supporting the center's submission.
