Charles Kalumuna

Charles is General Practitioner (M.D.) with over 25 years of experience in clinical medical practice in Uganda. Charles has served in various health systems in Uganda including the Public Regional Hospitals and other renowned private hospitals before establishing his own private general practice, Kamu Medical Center, in Jinja. He is also Board Member for other healthcare practices in Jinja, Uganda, including Good Shepherds Fold, Allan Stone Community Health Clinic and St Francis Health Cares Services Njeru.

Charles brings experience in managing healthcare systems in resource-constrained settings while emphasizing ethical medical practice. He holds a master's in Tropical Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (UK).

Urmi Prasad Richardson

Urmi is President EMEA at Thermo Fisher Scientific. With 25+ years in biotech, biopharma, healthcare, including senior roles at Linde, Roche, Novartis, Immucor, and Chiron, she has experience in molecular diagnostics, cancer genomics, infectious diseases, medical devices, clinical laboratory testing and respiratory care. 

 

Urmi has comprehensive global experience in building markets across EMEA, Asia and South America. Urmi has also worked extensively with governments and authorities to drive sustainable growth in emerging markets, including through clinical and commercial partnerships. Accelerating equitable access to high quality healthcare and building opportunities for local talent development, specifically in the MEA region, have been meaningful and impactful outcomes.

Urmi has an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, MS Biochemical Engineering from the University of Houston, BA Biology and French from Rutgers University. She is fluent in English, French, Hindi, and conversational in Spanish, German, Bengali.

Paige McMillan

Paige McMillan is the Chief Administrative Officer for the Weill Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian. Prior to joining Weill Cornell Medicine, Paige served as the Vice Chair of Administration and Finance, Department of Surgery, Mount Sinai Health System. She has also served as Administrative Director, Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences, Johns Hopkins, where she began her career as an administrative resident in training. 

 

Paige holds a B.A. in Human Health and Society from the College of William and Mary and a Master of Health Administration from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She also has a Certificate in Executive Presence and Influence from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Claudia von Hammerstein

Claudia is a seasoned advisor in the healthcare industry and has led projects in the healthcare and life sciences space more broadly across the U.S., Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia. 

 

She brings 15+ years of expertise transforming healthcare systems, optimizing healthcare delivery and providing strategic advice to organizations in this field. She is currently a partner in Life Sciences & Healthcare Strategy at McKinsey & Company and the Director of Sustainability & Health at the McKinsey Health Institute.
